1000 Words photography magazine is running a workshop with highly-esteemed photographer Roger Ballen. The retreat runs from 5 – 9th May 2012 in the beautiful city of Fez, Morocco and consist of 12 participants.  Given that places are limited, interested parties need to apply now. The workshop will be situated in an authentic, and beautifully restored riad in a medieval medina at the heart of the city, owned by dandy and former director at Dunhill, Stephen di Renza.

Participating in a workshop with a gifted photographer and teacher Roger Ballen can be a life-altering experience for many artists that can grow and mature a project. Small class-sizes, hyper-focus on creating and critiquing work, and the energy of being in a foreign surrounding while being mentored by a master of their craft makes for the kind of experience that really defies most systems of measurement.
