London-based Hana Knížová explores the themes of youth, ambitions and self-image in her ongoing portrait series Young Hollywood. Interested in how motivations and priorities change once we grow older, the photographer made young people in Los Angeles central to her project. They are aspiring actors, screenwriters and filmmakers, all pursuing their dreams and trying 'to make it'. The series aims to reflect their hopes and uncertainty for the future. "At some point, I'd like to re-visit some of my sitters and see where life has taken them. Eventually, the photos might have the real relevance in years time and perhaps mostly for the sitters themselves, when, looking back, they were portrayed as young and aspiring. " Knížová says.
