Behind the doors of these Havana citizens, a hidden piece of personality becomes visible. Photographing the home environments of his subjects, David Creedon became aware of that these people still retain family values and richness of life that would appear to be disappearing in the more affluent western societies. Here, family units often consist of grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts, teens and children. They support each other in such a way as to create a culture of emotional trust and security. This mutual cooperation and care became evident as they invited Creedon into their homes.
David Creedon has previously been exhibited in national galleries and museums worldwide, including the National Portrait Gallery London and the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
