PUP Award 2008 deadline prolonged

GUP is calling all resident photographers and artists in Holland for the fourth edition of the Prize for Unique Photography (PUP) 2008.

GUP will offer the winner a unique chance to print a photo book and have a publication in GUP. 1000 prints will be made of the book, of which the winner will receive 50. The book will be internationally distributed. It is important that candidates show awareness of the form and layout of photo books and keep their theme central to their work.

Mixed media is acceptable as long as photography is the main medium. The winner will be announced in October when he or she will get the opportunity to sit down with GUP editors and HUP curators to draw up plans for the book. The date of publication is spring 2009.

Contesters need to supply the following documentation:
. Description (book)project (contents)
. Description (book)project (design)
. CD-rom/DVD-rom with photos of proposal/concept (only jpeg files)
. Printed version with photos of proposal/concept
. Documentation list with order and numbering of the supplied photos.
. CV

Contesters can submit their written (book) project proposal, together with all visual documentation, to:
