Desiree Dolron (1963, Haarlem, The Netherlands) is currently one of Holland’s most successful photographers. Her work has already been bought by the Guggenheim museum in New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Dolron likes extremes. From probing travel reports Te dí todos mis sueñosand Exaltation; Images of Religion and Death to the staged series Xteriors, where her work takeson painterly forms, her portraits and interiors are inspired by the mysterious work of Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675) or, according to Dolron, the Danish master Vilhelm Hammershøi (1864-1916).
