The most recent project of Dutch photographer Michel Szulc-Krzyzanowski (1949, Oosterhout) is called The most beautiful people in the world. In 2004 in Brazil, Szulc-Krzyzanowski started photographing people who responded to his newspaper ad, which asked if they found themselves the most beautiful person in the world. Since then, he has been inviting people from all over the world in the same way to take part in his project. Szulc-Krzyzanowski studied at the St. Joost Academie in Breda and the Royal Academy in ’s-Hertogenbosch. He got international recognition with his work Sequences, created between 1971 and 1985. His social documentary style also has a conceptual basis which resulted in three Silver Cameras, the annual award for the best Dutch photojournalist.
