Spanish-based photographer Mitar Terzic (b. 1959, Montenegro) works with black and white film and self-made costumes to create images which aim to express mystery and imagination, and to blend reality with fiction. In describing his work, Terzic answers with questions: "Is it possible that we can remember something that occurred thousands of years before we were born? Is the imagination, or even an artistic work, really a creative process or a vague reproduction of dates stored in our subconscious? Does every one of us bear coded information of things that once happened and could occur again?"
Lemuria, referenced in the project title, is a hypothetical 'lost land', and Terzic explains that he is trying to draw a parallel between the events which apparently took place a long time ago and what is going on now on the planet.
