Seas Without a Shore

American photographer Chris Anthony produced this series of wet plate collodion (or tintype) images, entitled Seas Without a Shore, over the last eighteen months. His work on the series is tied together more through the process than by the subject matter - seahorses, portraits, and scenes from a created and somewhat demented fantasy world - though Anthony says he is interested in the underlying themes of solitude, hope and survival.

Anthony recently raised enough money through a Kickstarter initiative to produce the work as a book, which is planned to include 90 images, with some special editions including a unique object tintype from the body of work.
