Los Angeles based artist Neil Krug (1983, USA), in a creative collaboration with Joni Harbeck, is the founder of Pulp Art Book: a multimedia project wherein his photography can be seen in limited edition prints, books and films. In 2011, he released the LP-sized Pulp Art Book: Volume One with images of Joni shot with Polaroid film years past its sell-by date. The narrative photographs are reminiscent of spaghetti westerns and the artistic expressions of the '60s and '70s in B-movies and on LP covers. Pulp Art Book: Volume Two, released in October 2012, is more inspired by Poliziotteschi films, a sub-genre of crime and action film that emerged in Italy in the late 1960s and reached the height of their popularity in the 1970s.
