In her new series Metsästä, Anne Golaz (1983, Switzerland) invites the viewer to meet a suggested world related to culture in Finland and its connection to forest and nature. Simultaneously autobiographical, fictional and documentary, this story is both chilling and amazing. Without any conclusive intention, the photographs serve as an emotional expression, using light as a powerful tool for dramatization and fictionalisation; the images seem to have been dreamed rather than found. This is a story in which men hunt and devote themselves to magic and decadent rituals, while women become fascinating and timeless icons.

Metsästä has also been published as a book and is available for sale by Kehrer Verlag.
