Belgian photographer Maroesjka Lavigne (b. 1989) travelled around Iceland for four months in summer, before realizing she would also need to return in the midst of winter to see the full spectrum of possibilities with the light of this Nordic European island country. Through snow and summer, she photographed portraits, landscapes, suburban street scenes and countryside nowheres.
Lavigne has also self-published Ísland as a book. Read our review for more information.
