In a very short period of time, Sion Fullana (Majorca, Spain) has become a celebrated pioneer in mobile phone photography, a.k.a. iPhoneography. New York City has provided an endless source of inspiration for street photographers, but with the support of his 3G iPhone and a select group of apps, Fullana has managed to capture the raw reality of the city and its people from a fresh perspective. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, as the saying goes, and here is that proof: beautiful art can be derived from anything, but mostly manifests itself in the unexpected. iPhoneographism may not be an actual word, but if it were, Fullana’s pictures would fit the definition perfectly.
