Italian photographer Massimiliano Perasso's (b. 1980) work is focused on personal and introspective reportages. His series The Bleary Project has already been featured in GUP, which focused on the eerie space between the present and our memories.
His new portfolio, Disappearance, has a different focus. Perasso asks the viewer: "How many of us are conscious of our own journey?" In this series, in a similar style of brooding and sometimes blurry black and white images, Perasso searches for what happens when we lose our footing or when the direction of our journey changes, because "getting lost amongst the people, is a starting point".
