Betweenlands by Loris Savino (1975, Milan) is a project that talks about the renewed sense of consciousness, of dignity and responsibility that has spread from Tunisia to Egypt to Libya, echoing into Lampedusa and Greece since the beginning of 2011. Savino shows the protagonists in this story: the people and their voices, faces, needs and motivations. Voices and eyes that stood up against regimes and stand up for freedom. Through videos and images, Betweenlands becomes a true testimony of the awakening of dignity amongst these freedom fighters.
