Wyne Veen (Utrecht, the Netherlands 1983) makes and collects objects with which she creates irregular and funny compositions. Her work gives away another passion: design. For Veen photography is a medium to show her self designed weird unfinished 3 dimensional objects, and a way to reflect the absurdity of life. Since the objects used are never older than 30 years, Veen is best described as a modern still life photographer. That being said, the honey-sweet colours and abstract shapes surely bring her work to life.

“I think there are a lot of amazingly weird things going on in the world and life can be rather ridiculous so I try and reflect some of this awkwardness in my work.” – Wyne Veen in an interview for tennis shoe brand Robey Vintage for whom she photographed the new collection.
