This is an ongoing series started in 2008. The work looks at what has become one of the defining icons of Islam and Muslim women. The Veil aims to dispel some of the negative stereotypes often associated with a woman’s choice to cover her hair. It will do so by showing the veil as something beautiful and feminine while showing the concept of covering a woman’s hair goes beyond Islam.
