For seven years, the Norwegian photographer Espen Rasmussen captured the lives of numerous refugees and illegal immigrants in different countries around the world: people that were forced to flee their own country due to war, political prosecutions, or other conflicts. After a fear-filled journey, they find themselves in the huge refugee camps, slums or under the care of friends or family. 

Rasmussen’s exhibition, Transit, symbolizes the personal stories of 43 million refugees around the world. Through a series of images and films, Transit illustrates the daily lives of refugees from ten countries including Afghanisatn, Tsjaad, Bangladesh, Congo, Colombia, Syria and Jemen.
