It’s half past three in the middle of the night, you’re drunk and tired and actually really want to head home until you decide to do one last signature move. Then out of the blue: FLASH, in your face, the event photographer strikes. Now you know you have to get up early in the morning and untag yourself on Facebook.

Event photography: annoying, in your face even embarrassing at times. It can be different though. Beelddragers: SCENE features  six, talented, young, up- and coming photographers who have surpassed the level of the regular partypics by a mile. Event photography now no longer is the black sheep of photography.

Dennis Duijnhouwer, Dennis Swiatkowski, Catharina Gerritsen, Robbie Baauw, David Koppelaar en De Fotomeisjes show event photography but different, experimental, progressive. At this moment just to be seen on Facebook or any hidden blog. Beelddragers takes the photos out of the scene and shows them in an exhibition. All six photographers have their own style and cover their own scene. Now we get a good image of the partyscene here in Amsterdam, but also a sneak preview of the newest generation of photographers.
