Event details
The 19th edition of the Pirelli/MASP (Museu de Arte São Paulo) Photography Collection is marked by an exhibition showcasing ten of Brazil’s iconic photographers from the past 60 years. One hundred photographs from ten photographers are currently on display, notably Marcel Gautherot, in whose images the avant-garde architecture of the country’s capital Brasilia provide a focus, and Swiss-born Claudia Andujar, to whom photography provided a means of communicating and integrating with the people of Brazil.
Other photographers featured in the exhibition include Alécio de Andrade, Geraldo de Barros, Mario Carvo Neto, José Medeiros, Rosângela Rennó, Miguel Rio Branco, Otto Stupakoff and Pierre Verger. Have a look at the Collection’s website for more on each photographer as well as to access images from previous editions.
