The Galerie Hiltawsky in Berlin is presenting the work of acclaimed photographers Frank Horvat. In addition to the beautiful selection of images taken from twelve different series spanning Horvat’s extensive career, visitors will be able to see and use the first version of Horvatland; the photograph’s iPad application that was released in 2011.

Two thousand images are brought together in this application, which covers 65 years of his photographical career — from 1945 to today. More than ten hours of interviews and several texts are on display alongside the photographs on Horvatland, which represents a new language of sharing and communication. While the application points towards the future, at the same time it helps us reflect on a rich historical heritage.
