Provocative, at times shocking, Helmut Newton’s photographs contain beauty, eroticism and humour all in one. Though closely connected to the world of fashion, he proved much more than a fashion photographer. Eminently classical, his work fits into the definition of modern art. It experiments freely with themes and formats, and presents a unique vision on the contemporary female body. This will be the first retrospective of his work ever held in France, and will bring together more than two hundred of his photographs.
