Event details

Many analog photography fans cried when Polaroid killed instant film in 2008. But the Impossible Project, led by a small team of former Polaroid employees, gave us a glimmer of hope by saving the last remaining factory in the Netherlands and promising to produce new instant film. Mission accomplished, and a wave of hurrahs – since 2010, twelve new types of instant film are available again, thanks to the team’s loving and dedicated efforts.

What better way to celebrate their new line of films than invite a selection of talent to share their creations? MOMENTUM does just that – take advantage of the initiative’s success to create more momentum, by proudly exhibiting the work of twelve great instant photographers : Anne Bowerman, Brian Henry, Brooke Castro, Jackson, Bradley Johnson, Whitney Johnson, Clay Lipsky, Peter Plaia, Jessica Reinhardt, Patrick Tobin, Yana Toyber and Max Wanger.

The opening reception will be held at the Impossible Project Space in New York City on March 1, from 6pm to 9pm : no more sobbing, it’s time to bring out the champagne. And your polaroid camera, of course.
