The Wim van Krimpen gallery in Amsterdam is hosting Paradise | Wasteland, the first solo exhibition of young photographer Satijn Panyigay in which two of her recent photography series will be the main focus. For the series “Behind Death’s Door”, Panyigay visited the houses of people recently passed away, documenting the traces of life that either became visible or were removed during the clearing out of their homes. The second series, Paradise | Wasteland, portrays in a very personal way Panyigay’s continuously shifting view on her surroundings and the world.
