The Galerie Madé in Paris is hosting the first solo exhibition of work by young photographer Maia Flore. A contemporary Surrealist, Flore creates images that border on the imagination, at times with the help of digital manipulation. Her first series ‘Sleep Elevations’ holds a series of dreamy portraits of young women floating right above the surface of the earth.

Flore’s photographs contain a mysterious, fair tale-like atmosphere in which the people portrayed seem alienated while at the same time blending in seamlessly with their surroundings. Flore (1988) is a graduate of the École des Gobelins in Paris. She currently lives and works in Paris.
