Pieter Hugo: This Must Be The Place
Starting March, the Fotomuseum Den Haag will be the first museum to exhibit an extensive overview of work from South African photographer Pieter Hugo, who has received worldwide attention with his monumental photographs. Hugo’s portraits tell the personal stories of people living in the outskirts of society in modern South Afica, and often make the differences between Western society & African society painfully clear.
Hugo has won several prizes, under which the KLM Paul Huf award in 2008. He was recently nominated for the prestigious Deutsche Borse Photography Prize 2012.
