Craig Barber regularly opens the doors of his studio, hidden in the beautiful recesses of the Catskills region, to teach classes on the forgotten arts of Platinum and Palladium printing, Tintypes and Ambrotypes, Pinhole Camera, and Wetplate Collodion.

A talented photographer with 35 years of experience, he has traveled to Vietnam, Havana and other parts of the world to experiment with antiquarian processes. His work is shown in many prominent museums and private collections (including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Brooklyn Art Museum, and the Museum Nacional De Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires.)

His teaching style is as gentle as it is intense and focused; he only accepts a handful of students so that each can benefit from as much personal attention and tutoring as possible. He’ll definitely get your hands dirty, maybe a little high on chemicals; but the experience is enlightening and extremely productive.

The next workshop he offers, February 10-12, is on Platinum/Palladium and registration is only open to four students.
