Event details
Snapshots. Painters and photography, 1888-1915; sheds a light on the creative process, presenting 220 photographs and 70 paintings from seven different artists. The snapshot was born in 1888, when the first easy-to-use camera was invented. The personal snaps exhibited portray how photography and paintings interacted.
In conjunction with the exhibition a competition is open for submission. For more information or submissions click here.
We also published articles about George Hendrik Breitner, Henri Evenepoel and Edouard Vuillard who are featured in the exhibition.
