In the period of 2002-2005 Rikard Laving (1978, Sweden) recorded his personal experiences at camp ground Flatenbad near Stockholm. In his first book, ‘Caravan’, he shows an environment inhabited by outsiders. A free state. Here they get drunk, use, sleep late. There is blood and dirty washing, even weapons. The images are full of movement and radiate a strange sort of tension through the moody lighting. But it doesn’t get macabre. Naturally, at some point it will all go terribly wrong at the camp.
