Crocodile Tears is Jerome Sother’s debut. Robert Frank wrote the introduction, where he raises the question: ‘Is this a good world for him and us?’ Jerome views his world with scepticism and humour, portraying the harsh truth about being alone, about banal and mysterious events like becoming bald, meeting a woman and falling leaves. Sother is recalcitrant and revolts against everyday life and asks (what are for him) pertinent questions about the subject. Also included are a number of self-portraits and surrealistic photos. An amazing debut.
Crocodile Tears has been published in an edition of 800 books and is available for purchase from publisher Gwinzegal.
