For her photo project Sibir, Debby Huysmans allowed herself to be guided by Russia's longest rivers, the Yenissey and the Lena. She looked for forgotten worlds in today's Siberia. Its a place where time seems to have stood still, it looks desolate and the inhabitants live in a pre-capitalist reality. The images make you long for a rustic world. Sibir was exhibited at the Award Show of Foto Sommer Stuttgart and won the PDN Photo Annual 2010 in New York, in the photo book category.
Sibir has been published in an edition of 300 (numbered).
