The idea of photographing people looking through windows has always been one of my favourite. You are photographing; essentially framing your view of someone whose view is also framed. The window distorts; the lens distorts. It's easier to identify with the subjects in these photos.
Andrew Miksys is from Seattle and shot a series of people looking through bus windows in Lithuania. Michael Wolf is from the States too, studied at UC Berkeley and the University of Essen in Germany, and shot a series of people trapped Tokyo's subway cars. It's interesting to see that even though Miksys' bus passengers aren't nearly as squashed as Wolf's, they too look trapped, worried.
