The New Dutch Photography Talent book (known simply as ‘New’) is ready for submissions for their sixth annual publication: NEW 2017!

New, an initiative of GUP Magazine, is a platform for photographers based in The Netherlands or those who are Dutch (and potentially live elsewhere). It’s a 420-page print publication and is the up-to-date style Bible for art directors, curators, collectors, photography lovers and fellow photographers across the globe.

All upcoming photographers based in The Netherlands (either graduated in 2013 or later, or working as an autodidact photographer for 3 years or less) are welcome to send in work to be considered! Showcasing the works of emerging Dutch talent, New can shine a spotlight on your photography to catch the attention of some of the most important contacts around.

GUP’s editors will select 100 of the most promising photographers from the pool of submissions received. They consider work of all genres, styles and techniques, with a primary focus to find the best of the best. If you are amongst the selected 100, your work will not only be showcased to a widely respected audience worldwide, but also be promoted across our website, social media and, of course, printed in the New 2017 book!

As one of the selected photographers, you’ll be granted 4 pages (2 spreads) in New 2017. All the photographers are asked to contribute towards the costs of producing the book – publishing a book is expensive – in order to make the project a success. The cost for each of the included participants is 300 euro (ex. VAT). With this contribution, you’ll receive 5 free copies of the New book (total retail value: 125 euro), that you’re free to keep, give to friends or family, or even offer to potential clients or agencies! In addition, the fee you pay enables us to distribute the book (500 copies in total) to our network of key stakeholders working in the field of photography, as well as promotion through all GUP platforms (websites, social media and events).

If you believe you fit the profile, then don’t be shy and submit your best work! To get started and have your work seen by professionals on an international level, send your low-resolution portfolio, or a link to your website, to new@gupmagazine.com before August 1st, 2016.
