Anton Corbijn Awarded €150.000

Anton Corbijn's works have been awarded with the prestigious Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Prize 2011. The winning amount is 150.000 euro and half of it will go into a culture fonds of which Corbijn can decide which name it's going to carry and what it's mission will be. This will be announced thursday.

The Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds considerates Corbijn as 'a relevant image maker' of populair culture and 'an international example for photographers, designers and art directors'. De oeuvre prize is annually awarded to an eminence in the cultural field. The award is presented at November 28 in the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam.
