BJP's International Photography Award 2012
Each year, the British Journal of Photography hands out an International Photography Award to two promising photographers, who gain the opportunity of exhibiting their work at the Foto8: the London-based creative hub internationallly recognised for showing innovative contemporary work. You are invited to enter a photographic project under any topic, in order to win an exhibition this coming November. There are two categories that you can enter into: one category awarding the best series of images, and one awarding the best single image.
The IPA has been running since 2005, and is judged by a rolling panel of photography experts. Last year’s panel included Alexia Singh, editor-in-charge of the Wider Image Desk at Thomson Reuters, and Monica Allende, picture editor of The Sunday Times Magazine. The prize is generously supported by Spectrum Photographic, one of the leading photography labs in Europe, and by Foto8 Gallery in East London.
The deadline for this year’s submissions is September 15th. For more information on the award and to enter online, visit the website.
UPDATE! The deadline is now announced as October 1, 2012.
