The Viewbook Photostory 2012

The Viewbook Photostory is an annual photography competition, focusing on the narrative aspects of photography as an art form.

While the 2009 and 2010 editions focused on photostories portraying the bigger picture, the theme of the 2012 edition is ‘Small Stories’. The competition is looking for photographic stories that are taken from a personal, intimate, ‘small’ perspective. Stories that – while not immediately dealing with major news or world issues – contain a strong message as the emotions and feelings of specific indivuals in certain situations are portrayed.

All photographers are invited to submit their work to the competition! A selection of the submitted photoseries will be showcased on the Viewbook Photostory website. The winning photoseries will be published in the form of a photography book – which will be designed by a renowned book designer. Besides this, the 1st prize winner will have the chance to exhibit their work in a travelling exhibition. Submissions close October 31st.
