Amsterdam street photography workshop by David Gibson

February 06, 2012 Author: Sofia Caycedo Tags: Workshop news

This summer, renowned street photographer David Gibson will be leading a 3-day street photography workshop in the city of Amsterdam. The London-based photographer is a founding member of street photography collective iN-PUBLic, and he has been observing streets through his camera lens for over twenty years. His spontaneous, humor-filled images have been exhibited worldwide. He regularly gives street photography workshops in numerous cities around the world, from London and Liverpool to more recently Athens and Beirut.

During the three workshop days, lectures held at the American Bookstore’s “Treehouse” will discuss the history, aesthetics & meaning of the discipline, and inspiration will be provided by looking at the work of street photography masters. Guided photoshoots in the busy heart of the city will help gain practical skills.

Workshop days are June 1st through June 3rd, and  the workshop fee is €400 for 3 full days (€375 if paid by 30 April). For more information about the workshop, you can contact Shirley Agudo at shirleyagudo@gmail.com or 035-531-3040.
