The London Festival of Photography Prize 2012
Last year’s successful London Street Photography Festival has been transformed into the London Festival of Photography 2012; a bigger, more extensive festival encompassing an even broader range of photographic styles. Photography lovers of all sorts are invited to a diverse range of exhibitions, events, talks, walks and workshops that will be hosted by the festival in and around Kings Cross throughout the month of June. Each year the focus will be on a different theme, this year’s theme being Insideout: Reflections on the public and the private. The festival will celebrate its annual theme and emphasize photography as a powerful medium by providing room for discussion, debate, appreciation and learning.
The organization is giving the public the opportunity to actively participate in this world class-exhibition by hosting the London Festival of Photography prize for two categories: photography and film. You are encouraged to submit your work in the form of photographic essays, documentaries or conceptual projects relevant to this year’s theme. The two winners, one for each category, will be rewarded with a £1,000 check and a trip to London, as well as receiving international recognition for their work. Deadline for entries is Thursday 29 March 2012. For more information about the festival itself, the theme and entry requirements, visit www.lfph.org.
